请问需要准备什么画画的材料? 

What kind of painting materials do I need to prepare before class?

上课请自备基础绘画材料：A4纸大小的素描本或水彩本，铅笔(HB、2B、 4B、6B、8B)、彩色铅笔，橡皮，削笔器 。

Please bring your own basic drawing materials to class: A4-sized sketchbook or watercolor book, pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B), colored pencils, eraser, and pencil sharpener.

学费是怎么交的? 

How do I pay tuition?

首次试课可单独交第一次课的学费。之后每月第一次上课前缴清本月学费， Zelle、美元现金、人民币皆可。

The first trial class can be paid separately for the first class. After that, the tuition for the current month should be paid before the first class of each month. You can pay by Zelle, cash in USD, or transfer RMB via WeChat/Alipay.

如果需要请假怎么办? 

What if I need to take leave?

事假需至少提前一天(短信或电话)告知课程顾问，帮忙安排其他补课天或留credit等以后找时间集中补课。

If you need to take a personal leave, you must inform the course consultant at least one day in advance (by text or phone), so that they can help you arrange another make-up day or keep the credit so that you can find a time to make up the lessons later.

孩子如想参加艺术比赛、奖项或要准备入学考试的作品集怎么办? 

What if my child wants to enter an art competition or award, or prepare a portfolio for an entrance exam?

提前告诉曾老师或课程顾问姜老师，可根据具体比赛／考试的具体要求，特别制定课程计划及规划上课时间，不收取额外费用。

If you inform Mr. Zeng/Aman or course consultant Ms. Jane in advance, we can tailor a course plan and class times based on the specific requirements of the competition/exam at no extra charge.

人在国内或外州，可以参加网课吗? 

Can I take online classes if I am in China or out of state?

目前曾老师暂不开设网课，所有课程均为在纽约市皇后区森林小丘的画室面对面上课。长岛的学生为每周三在大颈上课。

Currently, Mr. Zeng does not offer online classes. All classes are held face-to-face in the studio in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City. Students from Long Island take classes in Great Neck every Wednesday.

我的孩子年纪小，不想画静物写生，只想培养兴趣爱好，例如做手工、捏橡皮泥可以吗？

My child is young and doesn’t want to draw still life sketches. We just want to cultivate his/her interests and hobbies, such as handicrafts and kneading plasticine. Is that okay?

小孩在八岁以前一般不以写生、写实为目标，但可以参考实物，变形、变色、夸张，添加、融入更多联想。也鼓励孩子使用拼帖、剪纸、捏泥塑等手段表达自我，增强孩子们动手能力、专注力以及创造力。

We do not encourage children under the age of eight to aim for sketching or realism, but we allow them to refer to real objects and incorporate more of their associations through deformation, color change, and exaggeration. We also encourage children to express themselves through collage, paper cutting, clay modeling and other techniques to enhance their hands-on ability, concentration and creativity.
